Don't tell him about the big locust I found Saturday that must have snapped off in the big wind we had the other week.

Good rain today stopped this afternoon and wind picked up drying it out a bit. Split another row of quarters using just the X27.
Mound of splits growing. Another 3/4 cord split. At least 1.5 cord so far. IMG_2410.JPG
One row of quarters to split and some logs to buck. Few noodle logs too. All red oak. IMG_2411.JPG

buZZsaw BRAD, percentage-wise, what's your estimate of the annual breakdown of -

Cords you use yourself for heat
    Cords you sell
Cords you give away, if any.

Use less than two, sell maybe 15, but varies. Give away maybe two which includes a cord of unsplit rounds to my friend where i have wood stored. Been giving him more shorts and gnarlies as of late.

You must have a lot of extra. It seems like you do way more than17 cord.

I have a little less than triple that. Keep the seasoning cycle going. Half of it has to be oak and hickory so longer wait.

Did more splitting today. Less than two previous times. Warmer day.
First two pics before, last two after. IMG_2459.JPG IMG_2460.JPG IMG_2461.JPG IMG_2462.JPG
Over two cords of oak splits now.

Havent worked on the oak other than bucking some logs last week. Split maybe 1/4 cord+ today. The mound of splits grows. Has to be over two cord now. IMG_2539.JPG IMG_2538.JPG
Maybe one more splitting session plus several rounds to be noodled to split size.
