Guys, I've been doing some major hedge work this past week. I started out with a datum line, got my level and then cut out above the line taking away the new growth. That was the easy part! Next up I had to work from the rear of the hedge using my freshly cut datum line as a rough guide. MAN! My right elbow is shot! I asked for a polesaw to do the job, but no polesaw came and was ever likely to arrive. Out came the loppers, bow saw and secateurs. What you see so far has all been done by hand. I've nearly finished and will post a final shot later in the week. If the pain in my elbow gets any worse I may just go off sick. Not something I like to do, but when you ask for tools and you don't get them AND they still expect you to do the job, this is on them. Cheers. iElbowBurn
Wow, that is a BIG job, Bob. Hope they get you some proper tools in future. What you have done is impressive, though
Welcome back iBob Thats some serious trimming. Hope the elbow is squared away quickly. Hope things find you well, Even if a bit ragged on the edges.
Those are some gnarly branches to lop. I'd be tempted to use the chainsaw. Ice that elbow and give it a rest!
Every native Englishman's nightmare. The last tea bag! I'm breaking out into a sweat and it has nothing to do with Covid-China. iBB
Try some coffee...........................if you can stomach warm beer, you should be able to tolerate the coffee..........................
I would have plenty of tea if weren't for you lot dumping it all into the river. Such a waste. I do like a good strong coffee, but can't take it without milk. How you colonials drink it neat is beyond me MW: Yes, plenty in the shops. I was just being dramatic Cheers my dears iBB
I moved some half-dried wood from the lock-up to my tool shed. Some nice Ash, Oak, and Sycamore. This little stash should be fine and dandy come the burning season. Happy flames! iBooB
