It was not a RCMP team, the dog and handler are members of the Halifax regional police service.

Yes, after I posted this I read it again and saw the RCMP officer turned back. My mistake, but I respect all officers and didn't mean to short change the regional police officer and his wonderful dog.

++++++ Being a cop is tough enough, but being a dog handler makes it that much tougher. I did it for 6 years and enjoyed every minute of it.

I think I mentioned it before, my step dad and grandfather were both cops. No dog handling though.

    Interesting part where the d
interesting point, where the dog had a scent and the handler made an assumption that it was hitting on someone else. Read a veteran say in his escape and evasion training, the instructor old him he wouldn’t fool the dog. The goal is to make a crazy enough trail, that the handler loses confidence in the dog and won’t follow the lead.

we had a three year old autistic boy get out of his house. They seem to like water. It wasn’t a happy outcome. This is a good story.
