Hey, I cut a red oak that was over 20" diameter just to see how it would do. It surprised me.

I have been using a 14" 180 for several years and I am impressed. For a light duty homeowner saw it has held up extremely well and cut wood way over its weight class with no complaints. Even the dreaded quick chain adjuster has worked flawlessly. It doesn't replace my bigger saws but it sure has been useful.

this was some gnarly grained wood with "imbedded compost" areas. If it was a nice straight trunk i mightve given it a shot. It did bail me out though. The 261 bound up in a cut and the 170 rescued it!
