Has anyone ever bought a pack of seeds and gotten ripped off? Happened with two packs this year, opened a pack of Zucchini seeds from the "seeds of change" brand and it was totally empty. Got another pack of a mixed lettuce from Home Depot, the Ferry Morse brand organic gourmet lettuce blend which listed like 4 or 5 different types of lettuce, open the pack and there's literally 3 seeds in it. Not like I can go return them amidst all this Corona stuff going on unless i wanna wait in line for half an hour. For the $5ish total I'll take the hit I guess, maybe its my fault for not shaking the pack enough to hear the seeds in there but I guess when you're buying a bunch at a time you just kinda grab them and I wouldn't think I'd have to check.

The dark one was Iodine teat dip & the other two were a sanitizing solution for dairy cows as well. They got a good wash & rinse before being filled. Supposedly neither is toxic to plants or animals. Fingers crossed LOL.

Added some Agribon row covers and pvc hoops. I had all of the hoops set at 8' lengths but the roll of agribon wasnt long enough to reach both sides. I had to take 3' off each pipe. You can see the one in the middle is still at 8' compared to the 5' lengths next to it. I ended up using the cut offs to hold the sides of the agribon down by wedging it between the bed ribs on the ends and middle. I'd like to add some irrigation but IDK if that's in the cards this year or not. Drip tape would be easy enough to do but getting it locally is my problem. Weight makes shipping expensive.

Before I religiously bought from Johnny seed company I bought seed from different stores and some of the pouches seemed "off" don't remember the brands

I've gotten the wrong seed in the correct envelope from Baker's Creek twice. I'm a fan of Everwilde Farms. Ive been buying from them for about 6-7 years now and never had an issue. Plus their seed packets are top notch.

Wife got this little greenhouse for her birthday. It's all put together per the instructions. Now it's time for some improvements. IMG_20200421_200133524.jpg

Have to build some shelves and run some electrical to it. We did install a cheap Bluetooth thermometer/hydrometer to watch the greenhouse environment.

New garden has been tilled and fertilized with chicken coop waste. IMG_20200409_180011819_HDR.jpg

I don't mind if some seem a bit light maybe not a perfect "200 seeds" per say but man opening a pack to have it be totally empty is just a blatant rip off, and then the other brand who i emailed who gave me THREE lettuce seeds in a pack hasn't responded after over a week and probably won't. It's just kind of annoying and pushes the issue for me to buy from a more reputable dealer than from big box stores.

Years ago WWW was grinding hot chili peppers in my coffee grinder. Poor guy, touched his eye and took a leak.

A brand of seeds that is very popular in our area is West Coast seeds from Oregon. West Coast Seeds | Organic Seeds although they are quite a bit south of us, the climate seems to be very similar to parts of the Island here.

Google Martin's produce supplies in shippensburg PA. They sell small rolls (1,000') of drip tape and all the fittings. Cheapest place for stuff.

I had a box of it sitting on the shelf in my pole barn. I came in one day and found about 1/2 the box strung all over everything.:hair: Apparently a bird saw the end sticking out and thought it would make good nest material.:headbang:

Fresh picked from the patch. Just enough for supper but more to pick in the morning. Rain and warmer temps have helped.

Look good farmer steve. I just took 8 spears this evening, which we added to our chicken parmesan dinner cooked by our son.

    Lots more to come!
