I need to get some lime for my lawn. Did a PH test and it’s still a bit low. Not surprising after 20+ years of pine needles and oak leaves sitting around. TSC has order online/curbside pickup.

If I help the lawn out, the squirrels, chipmunks and other wildlife will feel more welcome and the stray cat that runs around the area will have more food. And having grass grow is good for taking CO2 out of the atmosphere. That qualifies as essential to me.

Plus I need to get out of the d*mn house, cross township lines for the first time in 5 weeks and see if I can remember how to drive more than 3 miles one way, even if it is just pulling up to a door, making a phone call and waiting for someone to throw bags in the back of the truck.

I heard Backwoods Savage was sheltered in place at the table with a nice apple pie, I'm wondering if Mrs. Backwoods Savage gave Sav a scoop or two of ice cream.

The fertilizer showed up a week ago. Ordered it from Scotts with free shipping. Had no idea if I’d be able to get it anywhere, and the lawn actually started to look decent last year, so I figured I’d better get something on the way. It was the same price for the bag as it would be if I went to the store.

How they make money shipping a 40 pound bad of fertilizer via FedEx for free is beyond me.

    Day 30

Listened to the gov and her latest tirade again today. All I hear is her laying the ground work for an extension for the seclusion order. Probably lift some minor stuff on Friday.

I'm ready to head down to the cottage for an overnight, Probably pick up a few groceries tomorrow and then bug out for a night. We'll see.

Can't eat those. Did you find anything to eat out there? It will be a few weeks before they are up here.

As a matter of coincidence, 99 also baked a "mini" apple pie here....just to get rid of a few apples that I bought and were soft inside. About 1/2 of a cake pan size.

Fantastic is right! And smelled great, too! :handshake:

Apple crisp is a fine way to use up apples as well.

I mix apple chunks with drained canned pineapple, applesauce and cinnamon topped with ground almonds or coconut and bake at 350 F for 30 mins. Makes the house smell yummy.
