Yeah, I watched the televised version as it was live of the govs speech. The death of that child was mentioned at least 3 times.

    I get it.

    We get it.

There is a heartbreaking story attached to every death. (Anyone who thinks differently has some other questions that need to be addressed.)

Now don't think I'm a cold hearted SOB but, to mention the tragedy at least three times (maybe 4), was nothing more than a press opportunity to justify her agenda. Shameful. Couldn't she have used it as an opportunity to show just how the virus can remain undetected in both first responder parents (firefighter and law enforcement) and passed onto the child? I see that approach as much more useful to the repeated mention of the death.

Yeah, I see the shut down being extended, but she better be thinking of what the constituents are saying and what the lawsuits are addressing.

Letting people return to Michigan from other states with no restrictions is beyond comprehension! This, as well as dictating just what we can buy in stores needs to change.

I agree with you for the most part Dave . Sure she could have done better about parents passing it down and explaining that part . I said it before all the governors are in a tough spot . dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t .

I don’t agree with “ we get it.” Far to many people aren’t taking this seriously. I now have 42 units who want me to open their place at campground on May 1st . Of those I know 27 live in Macomb , Oakland, or Wayne county . These are units , not people . Most are couples many with kids .
I was even asked to deliver firewood opening weekend . Not gonna happen !

I would think she would extend it but open a few things that are less risk . Kinda like what Wisconsin did .

Georgia is gonna open bowling alleys Friday along with hair salons , tattoo joints , and massage places . Imo they don’t get it . But we can wait see what happens in Georgia.

I am wondering what it might be like when they decide it is okay to return empty cans and bottles to get their money back. That is, as I understand it, no stores are taking bottle returns now. Watching how much pop and beer people drink, there has to be a lot of empties around the place. But maybe I'm wrong about the returns as I have not been in the stores to see for myself.

Wisconsin extended the order further past states like New York that has massive numbers compared to Wisconsin. May 26 for WI, and May 16 for NY.

Wisconsin governor did outline a plan to open ASAP, but it's numbers driven based on 14 consecutive days.

Wisconsin will be opening some things, like golf courses, provided social distancing is maintained. They didn't say it specifically, but boat launches in the state parks that were closed should be part of that. You can easily social distance there. Heck pre Covid19 days, I won't get even 10 feet from others at the launch.

We had a restriction here that said you could boat/fish but only with members of the same household. Common sense . But as usual , a few ruined it for the many . Detroit river is a absolute zoo this time of year . It’s hard to stay at least 6 ft away from another boat while jigging for walleye .

I read where golf is open in Wisconsin but no club houses open or carts allowed . You had to pay over the phone .

Yes, no club houses, no cart Rental, spacing needed for tee times etc.

For boating, yes, have to have only people from your household in your boat. We hang out on a shallow sand bar for non fishing recreational boating with a few other friends with boats. Even with those friends, we park more than 10 ft away and we all bought Bluetooth speakers that link together so we don't have to compete with eachothers different stereos. Obviously we'd be more conscious about distancing than typical though.

That's right. Deposit is still being charged but no one is allowed to take back the returns for the deposit refund.

Im hoping to either donate some/most to a can drive, or if the 401k account keeps spiraling downhill keep them for my retirement fund. If this keeps up too much longer I’m going to have to start putting cans in trash bags and stringing them up in trees. :coldone:

Send the bill directly to the governor's office. Few hundred thousand people start billing her direct for losses & she may get the hint.

    DAY 29

Met with a contractor for some work I've been thinking about doing at the cottage this morning. It sounds like it may come in less costly than what I had originally been told and planned on! That's very good news. We'll wait and see when the bid comes in. Probably be a few things to "iron out" once I see the bid. :salute:

And, all this was done without the queen's dispensation......I feel so sneaky! :sherlock:

But, I guess if I had gone out for …… say lottery tickets (where does that money go anyway?) or maybe an abortion ……… I would've been in compliance with the govs orders. :picard:

Whole state's out for an abortion about now. I had to tell the neighbor that the topsoil I bought yesterday was for erosion control so it was essential.:loco:
