    Very nice, very nice indeed.
Was just perusing FB marketplace for free wood. Scrolled a good ways down and saw some nice oak rounds, and lots of them, in Port Jefferson Station. Close to you?

No, Port Jeff is about 45 minutes from me. I definitely did not have room for this load but I need soMething to do. I guess I’ll figure it out today. It was just too close and too perfect looking.

Neither Stoveshamster or I love black locust. We use wood to heat but ultimately we love looking at the fire. It brings peace and serenity to a crazy world. Having said that, I need a good hoard and split every once in a while. I have no room for the wood but I will somehow find it. Im loaded for 20/21 and 21/22. ASNR!

Don’t need black locust and don’t like it. Been hitting a new honey hole Every other day to CSS some ash and cherry. A little at a time to keep busy. First time I’ve seen ash on Long Island

Craigslist add? Have to be honest I’m not a huge fan of black locust, still have some left from a hoard over 2 years ago. Burns great but I can’t stand the odor when it burns.

Guessing your burning in a open fireplace to get a foul smell?

Yes, and firepit. Since my locust is nice and dry I mix it with my oak for the fireplace only. Try not to use it in my firepit if I can help it.

I’m lucky to have access to all the oak, cherry, ash and maple I want. Have no need for Locust. Don’t like the burn. Don’t like the smell. Yes I know it gives off tons of heat but I’m
    On Long Island not Siberia.
Plus I occasionally leave the door open to
My stove so I can hear the crackle and get some
    Of the smell
