Took advantage of the Stihl Spring sale for the MS170...$20 off. Been "needing" a smaller saw for limbing and smalls. Just back from the Stihl dealer. Rain here so tomorrow its inaugural cutting.
    $170 out the door. IMG_2280.JPG

How long of a bar on that?

And yes, do they offer the extended warranty if you buy the oil at the same time?

It was a 16", but looked a tad shorter than the 16" on my 290. Dealer was busy and i didnt even think of the warranty.

Connecticut started the mandatory mask in public rule so i had a nuisance dust mask on. It was driving me nuts and making my glasses fog up. I hadnt worn any in public prior.

I mean no disrespect to any Husky owners, its all just in fun. A good natured ribbing! Stihl has treated me very well for 35 years.

Happy birthday and a great present.  The dealer should have offered you the 6 pack of oil for the 2 year warranty. Part of their sales pitch on most saws. I'd go back and ask them. When I bought the 261 and was filling out the warranty info on their computer it asked if I bought the 6 pack for the extended warranty
EDIT : AND NO FLIPPY CAPS!! :picard:

I'd just call them. You need the oil anyways.;). Might as well get extended warranty.

I almost pulled the plug on that saw a few days ago but instead I put a 14" bar on my craftsman. Got to use it today on some small fallen pines with this April snow storm: worked perfectly. Not as light as that Stihl though.

Nice, now you just need a rear view mirror so you can primp your hair. :)
