I had to mow first, and then the old oak wine barrels didn't want to light. But... It's going to be good. Some sort of specialty potato I saw somewhere are cooking and some sirloin will join them in a bit. Some singed greens will be late to the party as well.
At least someone else calls it SUPPER. One day I was with a group of folks and I said I was going to go eat supper... And I got "what the hell is supper?" Like I had just made up the word or something! Took me years to get used to the "normal" English of apparently most if the US. I was just so used to speaking the Northern Maine French/English dialect I guess.
It's supper here in Iowa, but what is confusing is all the people who call lunch dinner, and all the others who can supper dinner.
Oh yeah WS. My wife taught me this......."Life's short, eat dessert first" I think it's some kind of metaphor, but she won't tell me.
"Call me anything you want......just don't call me late for supper (Dinner, Lunch ,Vittles or whatever)........Now pass the Brownies!!
I don't even know what the difference is. Steak is steak to me. I'd rather have a hamburger over a steak though.
Same here on a good ribeye (but usually too expensive for my budget). For me, best use of any round (top, bottom or eye) has been smoking a roast, slicing very very thin for sammiches and topped with bbq sauce
Seldom have stake. Wife doesn't serve it but a couple times a year. She tries to cut the red meat way down. It is delicious when cooked properly. One of my daughters can cook it so that it is just as tender as served in a a steakhouse. Last stake I got was at a Texas Road House. Nice baked potato and an excellent salad served with it.
I wouldn't eat steak my wife cooked.....she wouldn't anyway, but the point is that she likes stuff dang near burned through and through.
