Yea, but red pine has lots of resin when you split it. I cut off all the limb knobs because they have so much fatwood in them its crazy
More pine yesterday and even more garden/property work. Growing massive amounts of food for next winter.
Red pine, Norway pine, same thing. It's better than white pine for BTU's. Starts quickly, burns hot, but not for a long time. It dries quickly too. I've burnt a lot of it.
Does the dog sleep outside? I live in the suburbs so only put up a 30" high chicken wire fence around my two gardens for the bunnies and the groundhogs. Last year, the local deer decimated my string bean and tomato plants in two nights. I usually freeze 30 quart bags of beans and make gallons of tomato sauce and dice tomatoes. Your plants started from seed look great!
