Prolly caught this from The Wood Wolverine. . Guy that I got some wood last year call and says he has some wood. I get there and there is a red oak laying across his driveway. NOT the one he called about. Got it noodled and loaded. (First pic) The rest of the pics are what he called about. Last pic has some locust just for buZZsaw BRAD. Some good saw logs in the mix and I hate to make firewood out of it.

My contact was worried about the dead leaner in the first pic. With the wind we were having he thought it may come down on the power lines. I told him to call the power co and let them know. Right after I got back to load the last of the green oak the tree trimmer guys showed up and dropped it right along the road. :dex: Finished up the load with some nice dry red oak. Going back this morning for the rest.

Nothing like a bonus at a score! Is the 261 your go to saw farmer steve or do you have a method to your CAD madness when you decide which saw to use?

261 most of the time Brad. Took the 462 along for noodling and the bigger stuff. If I feel nostalgic I'll break out to 036 or 026. Like the M-Tronic.

Yeah. I reminds me of a big one we took down a few years ago. Then we've also taken a few white oaks too that were heavy. Got some help on the white oaks.

Ran out of room on the truck this morning. Stacked front to back. Had to leave 6 rounds for the next time.

I'm not really sure because I got part of it and someone else got part of it. My guess is 4 cord.

btw, if this was a normal year I would be inviting you to our GTG. It was scheduled for the first weekend of May but, of course, we had to cancel. Maybe next year. If you would like to see some of the pictures and comments from some of our previous GTG's they can be found in the Everything Else forum. I'm thinking last years was names the 2019 version of Backwoods Savage GTG or something like that. If you try to find it and can't just let me know and I'll find it for sure. Or Eric VW is a great one for searching out old threads.

I’ll look into the forum and look forward to next years GTG. Looks like a really good time. Happy Easter!
