Picked up a set of anhydrous running gear for dirt cheap. I think we're going to make a mobile hen house to keep out in the pasture.

This will be for layers only. Meat birds at too fat and stupid to climb in. The meat birds stay in 12x12x2 tractors on the ground.

It'll be nice they can essentially free range while you keep moving the tractor. Less $ on feed.

Would anyone know what to do for a gosling with a prolapsed vent? (asking for a friend)

Push it back in apply Perpetration H and keep the bird separated for awhile. Worked for one of my layers a few years back.

Got a start on my chicken tractor this afternoon.... I really like working with conduit....took a bit of engineering to get it welded up with not enough room in the garage, due to the size. It’s roughly 7’x9’ - 24” tall... a few more sticks to weld up...

It’s been a year since our layers got slaughtered by a coon. We ordered some chicks to surprise this kids for Easter but they heard them chirping in the basement this morning.

Ive missed chickens so much! We were in line for 2 hrs yesterday with a 4 chick max at a feed store by my house. We walked over with our coffee bright and early. Unfortunately most died in shipment and the guy 1 number in front of us took the last 3. We were pretty disappointed. However being very familiar with my town, I called 1 more place. They said they had a line but if we got there in 10-15 min we would probably be in for some. So we speed walked back home, even left the dogs out in the yard and hightailed it to the next feed store. We pulled in and the place was empty, no line and the sweet sounds of little peeps coming from the greenhouse. FatBoy85 and I got carried away... 4 was the max at the 1st place... the second place had no max... so we now have 12 little chirpers. As we were leaving a bunch of people we saw at the 1st store showed up behind us.
Now we wait for eggs! :D

Glad you got some! Crazy how many places can't keep up under the circumstances.
You have lamp to keep them warm?
