No, but there were a lot of forks in the tree, and it was white oak. There's about 5 or 6 more left just like it. I'm guessing a long time ago, some one cut a bunch of limbs back and they grew out, forming this twisted mess. I'm pretty happy with the 22 ton speeco splitter i used to do this with. Before i split some of it that was over 30'' in diameter. Actually there was also a lot of metal in some of it, so, it wouldn't work for lumber either.
