Al, maybe you need to take a trip to Arizona; southern Arizona to be more exact. It is amazing what that dry air out there can do for you.
You are right Dave. When we see them it is usually when they are on the ground. But also they will catch your eye as they take off (once they get clearance from the tower).
Horkn, good luck on selling those bikes. Many would want them just for keepsakes. But I'd hate to pedal them. It was bad enough when I was a kid but now I need some gears.
Had a very large one of these eating at our bird feeder a few years ago. First time I had ever seen one. Coincidentally, we had a woodpecker pecking at the balcony outside our bedroom this morning. It had done this before, but it sound like a machine and it vibrates the French door to where it wakes us up. I don't know if it’s the Pilated woodpecker we have around or not as I’ve never caught him/her in the act.
good to hear you might be able to move them and put some money in your pocket! My Huffy was from a period when they decided to try and actually make good race bikes again. The frames were made for them by Kinesis in Taiwan, who actually makes really nice frames. Unfortunately for them, they just couldnt get people to look past the fact that it was a Huffy, they destroyed the name.
Think I need a cigarette.....and I don't smoke. Coworker just pi$$ed me off so bad I was almost shaking. Halfway seriously considering calling in sick tomorrow (his last day). And I don't call in sick either.
Man....I don't even know what to say. This whole thing is unreal. I hope they all get better soon....
Flickers love siding and metal chimney stacks for some reason. Not saying that is what it was, just a possibility.
The Brit bike is a 3 speed.. That said, my wife has an Electra cruiser bike that is retro, and has a 3 speed hub. I think it needs about 18 more gears. I've got 4 people very interested in the Brit bike. Just finding out a little more about the Brit bike. I'd be pizzed if it was worth a grand and I got $100 for it.
I have heard the exact same thing. Doctors recommend moving there for arthritis patients. Not a place I want to be but I might try it if things get worse.
