When the Scottish broom starts blooming on the other side of the fence, I am going to take campinspecter's Stihl cordless chainsaw and do some logging. I hope to clear an 8 foot swath beside out fence. Some of the broom is 12 ft tall and the westerly blows the seeds into our yard.

Took care of some grocery shopping earlier. Won’t have to go for a long time now. Cases are starting to spread around her so I stocked up on some stuff so I don’t have to go to store for probably three weeks except for milk in a weeks time.

My son and I are going to cut firewood soon.

:bug: - I would think that is an essential service. But, at least you got the room to dig a big hole and bury, or just burn it in a barrel.

I've had pretty much rain starting Saturday night. Ah wait, it snowed Monday and Tuesday mornings before turning back to rain. I think on Wednesday we got a whole 2-3 hours of sun in the morning, then it was back to dark and wet.

Saw the sun peek out this morning, then heavy overcast. At least it isn't raining so the pond in the back yard is getting a chance to drain.

Remember, milk freezes great. Just take a little out of a full jug before freezing. I just finished a jug that we froze and had a 3/14 date on it. I had it with cereal and you'd never have guessed that that milk was frozen previously.

You are not going to see any pictures of me sweating and grunting. Just before and after of the clearing.

Cloudy day. Had a passing shower. It is cool outside but not cold. Still, I believe we'll be staying inside the rest of the day.

A couple of sneezes this morning really put me down. When you have a neck that is already hurting then sneeze, bad things happen.

Went out to split some large oak rounds that I "adopted" the other day...was dead standing for a while before I dropped it and there are plenty of white grubs in it...came in for a break just now and I looked out the window to see robins dining at my newly opened grub buffet!

Hey, I watched more of the"Gold Rush" series. Started drinking at 3pm. Bloody Marys and beer chasers, chased by more beer.

I made ginger beer, and started a flat of guajillo pepper plants from seeds. I had to make my own guajillo pepper powder from dried peppers a while back, and I saved the seeds. Trying to keep them as warm as possible, by putting the starter flat with the cover out on the sunlight in the bay window area.

I got most of the twigs and branches off the grass from my ash tree mess. Maybe tomorrow I'll be more motivated?
