Started splittin this morning to make another 1/2 cord stack. Had several different kinds in the pile. Got that stacked and then started working on cleaning up the odds and ends piles. This is what I ended up with. The fruit wood. Apple, cherry, mulberry, peach and apricot. The nut wood. Hickory, pecan and walnut. The oaks. Red, white and chestnut. Misc. Ash,hawthorne, locust and maple.

Lots of variety there. Mostly cut three types here with occasional fruit wood and a couple of others when they are available.

That's the way I have resorted to stacking mine for the most part.... Unless I got a big score of one type, ash this year, red oak last year, it all gets mixed the way it comes out of my rounds pile.

Beautiful variety for sure. Well it's confirmed I am totally OCD when it comes to wood stacks. All those species mixed together? No sir no. Yep I got issues:emb:

When you make a post or reply to one, in the header above, bottom row, center section, tap on the smiley face, it will open up and you can select from different themes.
