NY just seems to always have higher prices on any petroleum product than most states on the east coast.

I just got done setting up my Dynatrap. It might be to early, but I'm ok with putting it back in the garage if it gets cold again. 65* here.

The exec team took a greater pay cut than we did per the CEO. The techs we lost were no huge loss. One was who I would have recommended get the axe. But cutting the coordinator was just stupid. She was with our prior company for a long time, and knows her chit. It will not be easy to replace her if she doesnt come back.

The company we worked for prior to the takeover was like this as well. Its IMPOSSIBLE to get good battery technicians, as most people just want nothing to do with it. In 2009 I went a solid week with not a single job to leave the house for, and not much after that. We got lean, but we didnt lay anyone off.

With the big lake close by, me plugging mine in this weekend should be perfect. If you plugged in yours already, you'll be fine as well.

Took care of a trash run this morning. Then some odds and ends throughout the day. And a good walk with my son. Dinner with family, then shooting some baskets on the new concrete pad. Then rented the latest Star Wars movie and watched it with kids. A good day.

This must be day three of overcast and wind. Last two were rain from the northeast. At least it has stopped as of last night, but everything is soaked. With no sun to dry things out, it is a bit lousy.

I have several projects on deck for today, they most likely wont get completed, but starting them is half the battle.

Wood stacking will be put off later in the week when it dries out a bit.

A little too windy for a burn pile today...

Still light showers from this stupid ocean storm. I think this is day 5 of rain.
I gotta get my little greenhouse cleaned up and ready this weekend and some pine split.

Morning all. Just at the freezing mark this morning. We are supposed to get sunshine. It was sunny yesterday afternoon so we walked down to the bottom of the property. Dogs didn't stay long as we had a cold westerly blowing. My old rhubarb plant that I thought we dug up and moved has shoots coming up and my rose barrel has lots of white grape hyacinths blooming with tulips showing buds. Everything needs weeding badly and the lawn will need cutting soon. Hard to tell though as there is more moss than the grass. Hard to keep a lawn that is in mostly shade on the north side of the house.

Brilliant cold sunshine this morning, 18f with a bit of NW wind. But the afternoon promises a high near 50f and then 57f tomorrow with sun. I plan on getting the potatoes in.

I received my newest toy yesterday from Amazon, a Dewalt 60volt electric chainsaw with 16" bar for light work on trails and around the cabin/house. I plan on giving it a run today.
