New England only though as far as I know.

Natural gas is probably less in NY than here at the end of the pipes.

Besides ice I'm not familiar with fuel barge traffic pressure(s) on the Hudson, nor fuels distribution throughout NYS.

so despite all of us taking a 20% pay cut in place of layoffs, they still laid off 4 of my coworkers today. 2 service techs, one of our shop guys, and my sales coordinator. Losing her hurts the most. She was a long time employee, and really the unsung hero of the local office. I would be surprised if she comes back when this all blows over.

Looks good Brandon. We are going to be doing some sort of chicken today. Chaz last week got 2 cooked roaster chickens from a store deli last week. Ate half of one the first night. Then everything got frozen. Pulled the uneaten half yesterday and deboned it

Can't like that at all. Did the CEO and or other top execs take either reduced or no pay? If they didn't, I'd be pizzed. Execs don't seem to understand that you simply can't just replace critical people when they are layed off. People take these decisions personally, and I 100% side with those people. Losing great talent can really derail a company. The economy will come back, and I believe it will come back in a hurry after this pandemic gets under control. Companies that don't take care of their employees during this time, will end up on the short end of the talent pool.

And most won’t remember, two months ago, when human capital, was exceptionally valuable and hard to replace!

Anyone that needs to look for employment anytime in the future should use this as a question for any future Employer...

" What did your company do for your employees during the Covid19 pandemic?"

Their answers could be really telling about the company, and if you would even want to work there.

I had a lot of rounds that were cut to 20". The max I can take is 19" with 16" preferred so I have many 4" long rounds. Got things set up to split and store them.

Mowed the yard for the first time this season. Finally something done that I can look back at and see the rewards. I went down the hill out back and about got the Zero turn stuck. Thankfully I got it out. Was dreading going up and getting my wife to help get it out. It would of been a quick training session. She has never driven a zero turn or the mini. I spied several nice blow downs in the lower field while I was down the hill, but will have to wait until later to cut them. The lower field still has standing water.

Watched the local Flyboy (crop duster) do the field east of me. I love watching him. Just poetry in motion.

The company I retired from had the philosophy that good employees were valuable and they weren't a small Mom and Pop company. They never had a lay off. If times were slow you had work. You may not like what you were doing but you had a paycheck.

How big are those rounds that were too long? As long as they fit in the stove, I'd leave them and not split them. At 4" long, they'll dry out just fine without splitting.

Thanks. We will try that. In the past I split my shorts. Chunks has saved me late season several times. In fact I am going to bring some chunks up to the house.
