I procured a score last weekend on a referral from a recent cutting. A boatload of wood from the May 2018 tornado. New homeowner now retired clearing his back woods of brush, logs and blowdowns. buzz-saw and myself spent a few hours moving wood, cutting and loading. Homeowner had moved a bunch since i was there over the weekend which saved us a lot of work. We both were using our 290's. Ran my "new"028 a bit as well. His big hand truck worked great hauling wood out. Had our wheelbarrows too. Haul out was a slight down hill which was a plus. Two good trailer loads for him and a heaping load of bucked rounds in my PU. Probably over a cord waiting processing in his yard from today. Red oak, ash, birch, and red maple. I had to go back (ten minutes) to get my wheelbarrow and saws. Bucked some birch. Still a lot there. The "holy chit" look on his face was priceless when we first got there!
Good morning all, Was a great day to be out yesterday but it wore me out. Had just enough gas left in my tank to put saw and tools away , sweep out truck and trailer and I was done. Not sure where Brad gets his energy but he put me to shame yesterday. Once again it was great to cut with someone else rather than working by myself as I often do. Hey Brad ; Thanks again for hooking me up and all your hard work !! It was an awesome day and perfect wood-cutting weather.

I never leave a saw behind. Not really sure why because there really shouldn’t be a problem doing so in my area, but saws go with me if I leave the site. Might be because I “found” a saw once that someone had left behind. Probably a little bit of guilt feeling there. It was a Poulan wood shark so probably did the owner a favor. Gas and oil cans were there too, so I’m pretty sure the owner was planning to come back for it at some point. It was on public land and we had been fishing there for a couple hours, never heard it run or seen another person around. Anyway, it taught me to never leave a saw unattended
I agree and its something i rarely do. The homeowner was there and it was way in back of his yard. Truck was heaping full with wood as seen in my prior threads. I was undecided on cutting any wood and it was my "excuse" to cut more wood.
Had to bring the birch to my friends to unload and decided to SS it while i was there yesterday. Front row. Shorties in separate stack.
