0600 34 F. Burning the shoulder wood -- birch, soft maple, some ash -- in the two stoves. No more all night fires, but 62 F at first light. She's chilly. No spruce/fir softwood yet.
Dropped to 29 last night. Ended up with 3" of snow that is so wet, it'll take care of itself and disappear probably by noon if not sooner! Sun is starting to shine now.
Oops. Fell asleep without reloading last night because I was lazy. 32F this morning outside. 63F in the house. Needless to say that is the lowest IAT we have had all winter. Wife was impressed! Plenty of coals to restart. Back up to almost 70F now.
Temp in upper 30's and only expected to get to low 40's. Started fire in stove just a short time ago as it was getting cool in here. We survived the big blow as it was not as bad as predicted. That often happens and we are thankful.
Stop following us Dave....now. It is snowing. Then sun. Now sleet. At zero dark hundred it was ....29 . Wet snow from your U.P. Enough. Keep it there.
37ºF outside, occasional drizzle/light rain with some snow flakes mixed in. Burning some low quality red maple that burns up kinda quick.
35ºF by the mercury and the temp has dropped from earlier this AM. Mix of pine and red maple, got going on the coals/remnants from earlier. Probably end up burning all morning, maybe all day. Doesn't look like ti will warm up all that much outside today. We'll see.
It is supposed to get into the 40's but no sunshine to help raise the temperature. So, fire in stove.
46 here getting down to 37 tonight. Haven’t run the indoor wood furnace in a few days. Have a small sassafrass fire in the fireplace so the family can enjoy the flames.
damm Dave ( D² !!! ) ...you were ordered to stop sending the same here. 31 F @ 0630. Light snow and slow melt. STOP
