    You guys and your oak......*sigh*.....the onlyoak that I even know of is a white oak on another guys property in my town. I doubt that's ever coming down. Oh and he burns wood too, I won't be getting any of it.

    Great score! Oak is tops for me. I love how easily it splits and how great it burns.

    No kidding! Now, I have never split any Oak, but from some of the videos that I have seen on YouTube, I can't believe those guys were swinging an axe right in the middle and actually splitting huge rounds 20 or more inches in diameter. I had a hard enough time today splitting all the green cottonwood I picked up a day or 2 ago. And I'm only chopping off the edges little by little.

    Awww...Thanks Dennis! Backwoods Savage I am sticking real close to home for the last few weeks, only out for milk and bread once in awhile and of course wood if possible....Raining since I got the new wood so will work on that when weather settles down a bit...:handshake:
