Day two of rain here. If it stays light, I'll run the splitter for a while just to preserve my sanity. Otherwise I'll end up wandering the house looking for spots to clean on the walls again.
Getting ready to go for a walk. Hopefully it won't rain while we are out there. First day back to work. Very much different than my last day before Spring Break. Phones are going to be crazy. No teachers, no students and no parents. Didn't get my sewing room finished yet. It will be a long process.
Here's a couple update pics of the snow melt happening. Last week Tue compared to Sunday. The few robins that are here are still hard put for a meal!
LOL I started on the treadmill and said the heck with that! Don’t like walking on them. If I get wet, I get wet. Put on a heavy carhart coat with hood. Walking outside is definitely better! Doing anything outside is definitely better!
I just got an email from our CEO with a video link. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I may have just taken a 20% pay cut, and lost the company contribution to my 401K. Saved the company from a 10% layoff.
I agree, Had to take a picture of it because, no pic. didn't happen rules. . I can get gas 40 to 50 cents less than the $2'00 local price if I drive 10 miles. but the KIA only takes about 11 gallons to fill, and gets really good gas mileage so it isn't so enticing to drive out of my way for gas. Around here, most things I want can had within 3-8 miles, so no real need to go further unless you want to or have selective medical appointments. How are you folks doing being shut ins? I did go for a drive, but not shopping. I use the internet for most things except food. My son is shopping for us today. Wife wanted to go to the senior hour. 6-7AM. But I am opposed to that. She has diabetes and I have breathing and heart issues. Can't afford the risk. Two of my kids are nurses, and two of my grandchildren are nurses. They are right on the front lines with this. Makes me sick to think about the risks. You two stay safe and no unnecessary risks. Larry
Is that last picture showing the remnants of a beaver dam or activity? No duck? I saw a loon Saturday.
We're holding in there fine Larry. We too use the Internet a lot for things and when we buy groceries we've always bought in quantity just so we don't have to go often. We can get perishable things fairly locally as we are only 10 miles from town but when we buy in quantities, we drive usually around 25 miles one way.
Hope that's not the case for you. I have the feeling it's gonna get bad for many on the job front. I hope many employers don't see this as an "excuse" to thin payroll.
