We sell some as breeding stock or fiber stock. Some go to market.

Some people keep flocks just for their wool without breeding, milking or slaughtering.

20200402_061035.jpg 20200402_222757.jpg This morning was quiet busy in the lambing department. One ewe went into labor at 4 am, but both lambs were all mixed up in the uterus and both wound up stillborn. However, another ewe had triplets at exactly the same time. She only has one good teat (normally 2), sp she probably wouldn't have been able to nurse all three and we'd have wound up bottle feeding 1 or probably 2 of them. So, we took two of the live triplets and gave them to the ewe who lost her twins. Miraculously, the mom of the stillborn twins accepted the two lambs from the other ewe. So, final score, 5 lambs, 3 survived and 3 working teats on mommas = very successful day! PHEW!

Glad you got the 2 grafted to the new mom Mike. I had limited success over the years. My worst case was a ewe that was due wanting another ewes lambs and then delivering her own and not wanting them. :headbang:
