I don't have any meme's I'm not on social media. But when I was a kid, many of us had a coonskin cap, and everyone had a six shooter cap gun, and all our bikes had baseball cards with clothes pins on the spokes.

Times have changed. I once asked my high school science teacher to borrow his truck to go to the beer store during lunch break. He thought about it for a few seconds before replying, "Grab me a case of Laker". When I got back and handed him his change and keys, his reply was "I wonder how we would have filled out the accident report had something gone wrong?" :coldone:

When I was in grade 12, our physics teacher took all four of us (yes, small class) in his vehicle to the town dump. He had three TV sets he set up on a berm and then took out his rifle to show how implosion worked. Really cool lesson. It was the first time I had seen a firearm going off. We just covered our ears - no hearing protection. The lesson about implosion stuck with me.

They are still out there. I took this picture the weekend before last at a bar in Devils Lake, ND.

Any bar that still has one is my kind of place even though I don't smoke myself. I hadn't seen one in awhile. It was strangely comforting to see in these seemingly more complex times.

I mentioned it before on this thread, but when I was 12/13 I had a friend who was expert at reaching in and getting out packs of cigs.

Ah yes. Masks. Quarantines. This is what many places looked like when I was a little boy. Does anyone else remember?
