Started thread so more people can find us,mod can take down if not acceptable. #1 If your doobie/beer buddies installed stove while you were at work,do not light,have a beer,call a tech. Feel free to add/compile!
#2 If stove does not blink,grind,flash or smoke,grab a beer(or other adult substance) and make sure it is plugged in.
#4 90% of all stove running problems can be fixed by a thorough stove and exhaust cleaning.Guess I will stop now as appears we have stepped on someones idea of how they want us to live our lifes.
#5 Clean stove and venting for summer,esp. in humid area.Ash holds moisture,can cause/promote rust,and helps keep smells down on damp windy days.
#7 If you cannot get your harman to run properly,crate it and send to me and I will tell you if it is worth repairing.
#8 Just when you get your stove all cleaned and serviced for summer temps will drop 20 degrees and will rain for 3 days!
Seems to be the case with my wood stove too. I don't get a creosote smell unless I clean out the stove for the summer.
#9 That part you forgot to replace while cleaning this summer?You will need it in december!(Just put my spare gasket order in today)
