I gather that is a repurposed boat trailer. Looks like a slick adaptation! Good idea and execution!

Wayne donated the old boat trailer. Told him what I wanted and he went to town, I cut what he told me to and he welded everything. It went well, we didn’t have to redo anything, all worked the first fitting and welding. I’m stoked, another firewood gathering tool for the arsenal.

dahmer Nice arch! Did you happen to take any pics of the trailer before you started, and pics along the way that you could share?

I wish, finding a trailer would be easy, but the gas with a v10 to get there and back would cost about the same as buying a built one haha.

I'd think about blocking under them before lowering. Make it easier and safer to block.

Since the arch is ready Wayne and I went to the select cut and opened up a trail to get in to the tops and drag the trimmed tops out for bucking and loading. Almost ready to roll. Have to get in there next week and trim the tops do we can leave unwanted branches in the woods and make it easier to drag tops out.
