Will be later too.. got to take tractor outback later and figure out where the down trees are that have been snapping
No. I will just wait til it’s over.. but these 35mph+ southern wind are really melting my snow like Mother Nature hair dryer!
Wind was bad enough last night, blew a piece of facia off the house. Which caused a bang bang bang bang that kept me in the shepherd up until about three. Then the wife woke up and her complaining, manage to make a sleepless night. I remember those being a lot more fun in my youth Grabbed a step ladder from the fifth floor deck hook that damm piece of siding and ripped it off.. lady taking a nap on couch She beat me to it!
Still windy yet today. Everything well here besides a few branches and a chicken rolling about 5 feet.
Just what we need, I spent time clearing branches from the trail that runs up top but when I made my way further down the trail there was a top from a basswood blocking the trail, that's when I could feel a chit coming on....who didn't put any TP in the rhino so I made my way back to the house and inside without any problems. I did see a downed ash and we also have one dead beech thanks to a porcupine.
I hear you. I've got MANY pine limbs, some quite large, that snapped off over the winter. Problem is they are buried under about 1-2' of frozen concrete snow and untouchable at this point. Probably a month away from cleanup here..............................
I had two areas that I stayed away from because of the snow depth, it's dry back there for this time of year but that will change with the rain coming in. All vehicles are suppose to be off the road from 8 pm to 5 am but I'm hearing some four wheelers running the state highway 56.
Just fired up the OWB and the wet snow and wind is still hitting us. More like a strong breeze than a wind.
