Probably the heaviest load to date. This utility trailer and truck have been through some serious work before. Thursday night, will have the rest home.

I was hoping for an ID based on the leaf n corns. I think it’s at least narrowed down to white.

Definitely white oak family with the rounded leaf lobes....red, black and pin oak family have pointed lobes.

Got any pics of the wood in the passenger seat and in the back seat of the crew cab?

The fifth wheel (spare tire) hasn’t even touched pavement yet.
You know it’s loaded when you see the puffs of smoke from the fifth wheel.

Not this trip. I’ve done it before but much lighter wood. Believe me I was fishtailing a bit on the highway and this was a 45+ minute drive.

Well they’re calling it an off-road truck. Probably means all the suspension is designed for flex and not weight. Sway bars and air bags?
3-4 years ago I bought my first 2500 series truck. We used 15’s 1500’s for years even doing masonry. Man what a difference. Loaded it with sand, bluestone and cement with no squat.
Those newer 1500’s sure ride nice empty tho.

Nice!!! My Midnight edition Fronty is rated to tow 6710 lbs, and I believe the bed rating is around 1200 lbs. Nice little trucks.

It looks like you already cross the safety chains before hooking them up; this will help prevent dragging. also, twisting the chain before hooking it up shortens it's length.

Wouldn't want to start all that oak in the trailer on fire with all those sparks coming off the chains! :D

Decent haul FatBoy85  How scarce is an oak scrounge for you? Do you normally go 45 minutes out for wood?
To answer your question...not enough. I wouldve loaded the hell out of truck and trailer.

Oak is not Often a find Brad, so when I can find it I like jumping on it. It’s 45 mins from home but I work in Tacoma and the pick up was less than 10 mins away in Lakewood. Mostly it’s everything else that is common here: Cottonwood, Doug Fir, Alder and maple. Not shooting down maple or any of these woods but there’s many opportunities I get for those. At least I’ve worked out with the land owner that I can pick up rest later.
