A saw showed up today from KY, only took two days to get here. Seller provided tracking as soon as it was sent on its way. Here it is getting opened up. Doesn't get any better than this. Wrapped in a garbage bag, and bubble wrapped. Can't beat the extra security. I have bought and sold literally hundreds of saws, and the saws I have received that are packed this well.. are a vast minority.
Glad it arrived safely, it is the seller's responsibility to make sure it arrives as it was when it left. It is not rocket science, make sure you drain all fluids, wrap it in a garbage bag, and pack it tightly so it will not move.
You did a fine job by my standards Gary. Wish you the best as you downsize a little, I know it takes time to ship these things out. You sent this one to a loving home , and I appreciate the opportunity to own it.
Very fine packing job. I wouldn't doubt Gary one bit. Great guys with saws at great prices Waiting to hear back from the MS 360 buyer on my packing job. I ask for feedback on packing now.
The few saws I've sold/shipped were packed with the idea in mind that they would be delivered by a gorilla with attitude issues. I've picked up a few tips along the way from this and other similar communities.
I normally take the dog(s) off as well as the clutch cover on saws equipped with a brake. I also cover both ends of the bar with cardboard and wedge in the box to prevent it from coming through the side of the box. An extra layer of cardboard is used inside as well to give a thicker wall for protection.
Maybe it was the empty oil bottles you had never seen before? Thinking back there is no sense to out even more hazmat items in the box!!
This saw is so frikkin' mint, I just cant get over it. I will however, force myself to cut firewood with it on occasion. It would be kind of a crime to make a shelf queen out of one of the greatest 50cc saws ever made. What a beauty it is too..
