    Took the trip to the cottage and enjoyed a nice fire and heat from the NC 30. Watched most of platoon and finished breaking a shovel that someone else started breaking but neglected to tell me...… :doh: :whistle:

    Washed the rav4 once I got home and about to finish some dominos pizza!

    Sun shinning today. The air is wonderful My son Brian, who lives upstairs with his family, was able to fix my flagpole. It came down during that horrid wind and rain two weeks ago. I bought a new flag to put up. I had also bought a new POW flag but he doesn't think I should fly that one with the other flag because of the weight during heavy rain and high winds. It had been up three years without accidents until now. I just might get a shorter poll hang the pow flag on that. I feel so compelled to remind folks of the MIA's sacrifice. There about 2500 Pow/Mia solider with 1600 still unaccounted for. Please never forget.

    What a long day. I threw together the maple evaporator this morning, then spent about five hours dialing it in and boiling about 17 gallons of sap. All I ended up with was a quart of syrup.

    wife left to go to the store, and called me broken down at a major intersection the next town over. I flew over there and luckily was able to limp it home myself and saved a tow. Hopefully it’s not too major like last time when it acted exactly the same way. :hair::headbang:
