Wood Ministry firewood cutting/splitting day

Hello there all!! First, I would like to thank everyone who has helped cut and split in the past to help our wood ministry. Well, this spring we will NEED your help again if anybody wants to participate. I will be going in for a FULL right shoulder replacement on March 11th. Unfortunately that is right when I wanted to get some logs and get my storage full for next years burning seasons for our needy families. So, since I will be down I was wondering if anyone would be willing to come have a firewood cutting/splitting day like we have had in the past. I would have probably 5 triaxle loads of logs here that I would need some eager beavers to tear into. As usual we would provide the water, coffee, soda, and food for the day.
I haven't picked a day yet and was hoping to get some input from you guys as to what day/date will work for the majority who wants to help. I am looking end of March beginning of April.

Ok everyone I think right now the date will be April 11th. If you DEFINITELY know youre coming please let me know. This year I think I am getting a local BBQ caterer to cater our lunch/dinner. Her food is FABULOUS!!! So the Wood Ministry is gonna hire her to make us some good food.

Not sure how my back will be feeling by then so I’ll have to wait to let you know. It’ll probably be like the last time I was there with all kinds of saw men and splitter operators but no transporters to get the wood to the splitters so if I make it I’ll just leave the saws at home.

 

The first time i went, thete was a couple that came from ct to help.

Hey everyone CORRECTION to the date. April 11th is Easter weekend. Therefore it is going to be April 4th

 

Man! I was i could remember.

 

Please let me know if you can definitely make it on the 4th of April. I need to let the caterer know how many hungry guys she needs to feed....lol

Ok folks.....ANOTHER change in dates. It can't be April 4th as the BOSS, my wife, will not be here and Lord knows she LOVES to be involved with cutting and splitting and well yeah just being in charge. April 11th is Easter weekend and April 18th is the 1st day of trout season, sooooooo the new date will be April 25th. starting at 9 am or whenever you get here. I still need to know who is definitely coming. Thanks guys!!!

 

John I regret that Robin and I will not be able to make it over there to help on the 25th of April. I think what you and your wife do is amazing and hope we can work it out the next time.

 

How did your surgery workout John ?
We could use a Wood Ministry kind of community service here Downeast. Many here use wood heat and may not afford to buy or scimp on oil or gas.
