    Just a quick update. Many remember that I am facing some nasty surgery but it is still not scheduled. However, I finally got a call and will be seeing the surgeon again next week. Getting the paperwork done for this has been a nightmare and my frustration level just about went out of sight. I told my wife I had given up on this one and maybe I'd look for a different doctor and start all over again. Then 2 days later we get the call.

    Then, we got another call. Seems all the paper work was still not there... I told Judy to just forget about it. But, ornery and bull headed as she is, she would not give up. Last evening I got another call from our family doctor's office. It sounded like this girl really had her ducks in a row. She said not only did she fax everything again, but she followed up with a call to make sure they got it. So, maybe...

    Praying for Linda Bell that she has peace and comfort. Will join in prayers with T.Jeff and others for our friend Dennis.
    For the folks in Tennessee seeing those images is heartbreaking and will continue praying for them all.
    Praying for the experts and governing authorities for their efforts on fighting the virus here and abroad.

    Good news/bad news today. Looks like almost everything is now in order to get this surgery done. The last obstacle seems to be the surgeon who is leaving for a 2 week vacation this weekend. But we should be able to get it done right after he returns. I hope so as the pain is really getting out of hand.

    What about after surgery? Of course the first 6 weeks are the most critical. I'll even have to wear a plastic brace when I shower then quickly put the normal one back on. All together he said to expect a 6 month recovery from this. So, it appears I won't be running the chain saw much for a while... But then, I have not been able to run it now because it just bothers my neck to much. Also, with recovery being during the summer it should be better than when snow and ice and cold is around.

    No I just wait for a call from hospital to tell me the date of surgery but that usually happens not too many days before the surgery itself.

    Thanks for the prayers for my Mom's surgery and recovery. She is in way less pain than before the surgery and is getting around quite well. She is looking forward to ditching the walker for a cane and being able to drive again.

    Please lift up 2 former coworkers, Patrick and Al. Both lost their dads in the last week. Ricky, Patrick's dad, lost a long battle with cancer. Earl, Al's dad, went fishing Wednesday, didn't return home that evening, he was found in the pond Thursday by the dive team, near the boat ramp, he was 67...
