Grabbed this dewalt kit over the weekend. Home Depot had it marked down to 450. VA discount of 10% and then another menards price match of 11%.

That poor kit was screaming take me home take me home!

I have a Bosch and a Milwaukee drills but due to years of abuse, the drive gears have stripped slightly so I have been looking for a replacement for some time now.

I plan on getting a string trimmer, leaf blower and jobsite radio next. Sad part is, those next three items will be as much as the original kit.

Hopefully, this kit will be the last time for me. No more dragging around cords for using a Sawzall for a two minute job on a roof.

    DEWALT 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless Combo Kit (8-Tool) w/(2) 2Ah and (1) 4Ah 20-Volt MAX Batteries and ToughSystem Box-DCKTS882D2M1 - The Home Depot

Love my cordless tools, but the batteries are still expensive.
Cords and hoses are time wasters on a job.
That's quite a kit. I have one of the "long-chuck" drills, but prefer the shorter version (I think it's an XR).

Cords and hoses in my case always seem to be there for another reason = to get my big feet tangled up in and me to trip over.
Much of the same as what the tires for my mower are for. Seems they are best for collecting dog poop.

    Nice kit !

Just got done opening it up and going through it. I hope that impact wrench is going to be strong enough with it being only a 3/8" drive.
The oscillating cutting tool should be fun as well as the grinder and circular saw. The circular saw only take a 6 1/2" blade, but that's OK. Sawzall and the other two ( 1/2"drill gun and 1/2 impact driver) have already proved their usefulness decades ago!

I have a corded multi-tool, but I've only used it a few times. Nice tool.
Small circ saw is nice. Just used it on a couple 1/4" cab. back panels. I put a Diablo blade on it though. Clean cuts.
Brother was shocked at the sawzall power.

Yeah we switched to Milwaukee years ago when DeWalt was still selling their out dated 18v line. But the 20v stuff is pretty nice

I’m still using the old 18volt DeWalt tools, over the years I got so many of them given to me I’m committed now!

    Looked at combos before Xmas.
Battery size sure made a big difference in price. Couldn’t find a kit with the tough box that I wanted which also jacked the price fast. Got busy and sick of surfing for the right kit and gave up.
Runnings had the best deal going and we just got a store here. I’ll look again soon. My old Drill and batteries are on the edge of death but the impact still has some life .

    Is that the "Fuel" series?
We bought a new Fuel 1/2 drill and had to send it in for the chuck locking onto bits and wouldn't release...they warrantied it, but it is doing it again now...good thing it has 5 year warranty!
I have heard this chuck thing has been a problem for them.
The only other issue I have with it is that its almost too much power...I have had it torque my wrist pretty hard twice now when it "caught" and was in low gear! The last time it happened has taken a long time to heal up totally...still hurts if I move wrong...happened last summer!

Looks like a steal of deal yooperdave !
    Get a Sooteater then too?

keep an eye out I just bought a string trimmer chainsaw combo with charger and a 5 amp hour battery Radios are constantly changing you can get "old" models cheap. If you are tech savvy you can get the bluetooth speaker.
I also have the 20v compound slide mitre box, haven't had a cord out in years and I use them everyday.

No sooteater….not yet. Menards has one but only one extension rods package. Home depot had the best price of the sooteater, but have to order them. Not too worried about the chimney anyway.

Big plus on the 5 amp hour battery. With a leaf blower, that 2 amp hour battery only lasts as short as 5 minutes according to the reviews.

We have fuel now. When we switched they didn't have the brushless fuel. The 5 year warranty is anothger big selling point for us. We wear out or break lots of tools
