Just thought about this while reading in the saw pics thread.... Chain saw or sawmill doesn’t matter I’ll start off
Had to noodle an entire 34" Norway maple trunk to make fireplace sized "splits". It yielded 15 wheelbarrows full of noodles. This was over a friends house and he used it for landscaping mulch. Norwegian Noodles Anyone? was my thread.
I cleaned up chips and bark back in 2003, when I processed several cord in the front yard, but with my processing and stacking area in an old gravel pit I haven’t dealt with such things in a long time. Plus no noodles - I leave the gnarly trunks out in the woods for the wildlife to enjoy.
Thank you, sir. He got the toy saw for Christmas, at first he was scared of it, now he loves to help Grandaddy on the woodyard. He turned 3 in January, knows how to put his earplugs in...lol.
Aerial view from that big hickory job we did last weekend. Three big hickories and one big Norway spruce. Probably a dump trailer full of sawdust from that job!!
Not a pile, but not bad considering the wood chips were flying some 20 feet from where I was cutting onto my truck.
Here is my mess. I will eventually rake it into my backhoe bucket dump it into my truck and haul it to the compost.
Noodling some Pin Oak Making some Swedish Candles this thing makes a bunch of sawdust... even with the dinky logs...
