blacksmith and I did a big job removing three large hickory trees (one was very large) and a tall norway spruce last weekend.......snapped a cool pic of the shadow when I was in the spruce...... Can you find the lumberjack in this pic? And some pics snipped from my gopro of the top coming out.... You can see the shadow of the top as it sails to the ground...... Repelling out..... Back on the ground..... Little plug for FHC!!
That is waayyy up there! I'll bet the view was amazing! I'd probably get about 20 feet up before I'd lock up! Nice job!
Just think, you could play a mean version of "Cornhole" from up there by throwing a chunk of wood into the trailer. Knowing my luck, I'd hit the truck
That’s getting high with style! I don’t know how you do that, let alone take pictures during the process. You have way more guts than I do! Glad to see you back at it!
Most folks just don't understand how difficult and dangerous that is! My hat is off to you Scotty Overkill!
How tall was the pole, after you took off the top? I bet there was pretty good side to side motion hapnin...
Very cool stuff man. Use to climb the water towers with ease but tried it again a few years back with camera but got wicked shaky legs and that was the last time.
Look at it this way Scotty Overkill , you're a lot closer to God. A fringe benefit of the job! Cool pics! Thanks for sharing! Id love to do that. Looks like fun!
fox9988 , I cannot locate that hilarious post about your daughters in your tree stand, would love to chuckle again!
I'm guestimating around 55-60 foot....it was pretty breezy when I climbed that Sunday afternoon, and there was definitely some pogo action! I call that the "treetop rodeo"
