Would have liked to have gotten a picture before he started to unload it. Truck and wood is a guy down the road.
WOW! And i thought i put a lot on! On a side note, i learned how to drive standard on an old Chevy like that! My late fathers old work truck...1967.
True story: When my brother worked in the woods, he would ''sucker'' the guys on the landing, to see if they could overload his 64 ford 4x4, long box, he'd bet them they couldn't, lol. This thing was built for wood!! built up leaf springs on all 4 corners, he'd even get them to fill the front seat, ha,ha. Every time they did it he got a really NICE load of cut, and split wood, all he had to do was unload it. He ALWAYS won the bet. It was a real WOOD BEAST 6 cyl 4 speed, and super low in the transfer case.
Now that's a true hoarder but he wouldn't get out of the driveway in my state before smokey would say "What the hell do you think your doing ".
Perhaps the beauty of living in West Virginia? I do believe he mentioned fellow was just down the road. Maybe it was a seldom used dirt road.
I'm guessing this is a 72 Chevy, pickup, my father in law had one just like this one only it did have a 1 ton rear end and suspension under it. It was a really good looking old pickup and trust me, he'd load it about like this one every time, I wish he was still around, he'd love to see this picture, HE was one of "original wood hoarders" back in the 80's. I've got a good story about him i'll tell later on. Its a good one. lol.
