Thank you! We had a stray show up last spring and leave us a whole litter of them! We didn’t have any problem finding homes for them all. I had to talk Nick into letting me keep them and now they are HIS babies too!

Is her sister that much smaller, or is it just that Monkey is so much closer to the camera it creates the illusion? They are both so adorable!

Blackie and Blondie continue to age quickly . Neither of them can get on bed by themselves a lot of the time and poor Blackie has biffed it several times getting on/off the bed and couch. I bought some stairs for them for our bed, I hope that helps. I wish they did not have such short lives.

I also wanted to mention about Blondies chronic life long ear infections. Despite feeding trying every food the vets recommended, hypoallergenic foods, the hydrolized ones etc. but still ended up with antibiotic, 2x/day cleanings and drops in her ears every 6 months. The prescription GI diet she is now has cleared them up :jaw: Granted we're making serious sacrafices $$ wise to afford these diets for both doggies now------ bocefus78 this might interest you as you helped with her ear infections over the years. EDIT, she's now also on chronic prednisone therapy for her Canine PLE, that likely comes into play somewhere too. Poor doggie, her gut is full and distended but she's starving to death, can feel all the bones in her skull and her ribs. I'll do right by for when she's ready.....

Hard to watch our furry friends age - especially since they do it so fast. Keep making good memories with them while they are around and make their golden years as easy for them as possible.

    Got it!

And let it go at a wildlife refuge a few miles away.

Yeah good on ya Well Seasoned for being so merciful to the critter. I myself am not sure I would have wanted getting my hand that close to it.

The Barn Swallows are back in February again. Last year they did the same, then left and came back later. It will be interesting to see this year. Flamestead .

    Good on ya WS.
    :handshake:

It wouldn't have fared so well here.

1.. Not aware of any wildlife refuges nearby.

2.. I don't wanna make my problem someone else's problem.

3.. Even if the Governor called, I'd have hung up on him, and carried on.

    Hope Maples doing much better.

She's doing great, thanks! I've dispatched plenty of them, but it was in the trap already, I had my truck and the refuge is relatively close. Otherwise, if I shot it, I'd have to put it somewhere where the dogs wouldn't be able to get it anyway. Win win for all.....

Ebbie settled in for the night. Didn’t want to help me load the overnight ration of wood in the boiler. I am settled in to watch A Bridge Too Far and tend the fireplace.

Neighbor and I are going to hit the css hard tomorrow. High of 60 degrees forecast. Ebbie will stick close to home. Gone are the days she would run beside me for hours.
