We've had a few coldish days & nights. Rounded up the troops, loaded up the skidder & hauled for about 3 hours before the ground got soft again. Pulled all this out of a pond/swampy area that finally froze up. Ash & Cherry.
Good job amateur cutter. I got some done this week on dry frozen ground. Now starting Monday we have 3 wet days coming.
Not as fun as you'd think lol. No suspension & a solid seat on the hydro tank. Gut pounder after a while. That said, it's a really handy & effective machine on narrow trails etc. It will winch & pull way more than one would think. It turned out to be a really good purchase.
Looking gooder AC! Ill bet it was nice to FINALLY get out and hoard. How often would you be out if the conditions were ideal?
Great that you got to get a little work done AC. Yesterday I had the tractor out and went across the road where we hope to be doing some work this spring. Much of the ground is frozen but not deep. I went over a place where there was some ice and thought it solid. It wasn't. Fun, fun, but no problem. Just gave me a bit of a jar which did not feel good on my body. But I looked a small area over and hopefully we can get a goodly amount of wood out this spring.
