Beautiful day on Long Island. I decided to split a load of hickory yesterday. All in all I got about half a cord of beautiful hickory out of it. This will be used mostly on the smoker.
Here is a picture of my hand made reverse offset stick burner. Variation in degrees from one side to the other is 2!
Very nice smoker! I use a water unit made by Brinkman (upright bullet style). I’d love to step up to what you have someday soon. Can’t wait to fire mine up again. C’mon spring!
I agree strongly ! Nice smoker Stoveaclaus! These projects make us really appreciate what the whole meaning of bbqing is about!!! That hickory will go a long way!
I like the axe handle. Nice touch! Never really smoked here either. We've tried wood chips as we use charcoal. Some real nice looking, well in this case, smoker wood!
I threatened to build a reverse smoker about ten years ago. Wish i had... Howsabout some build pics. Interior/smoke path
After seeing your trailer build, I’d commission you to build one if I could afford it! Mine could be your prototype, Lol
That's the way to do it man. I smoked two pork shoulders over Sugar Maple on Tuesday but split Shagbark Hickory is my normal goto.
