Time for my first build!!

Picked this up off an individual today for a fifty bucks. Time to start looking at how I will build this one up. I am excited since this is my first full build.

 

I'll be interested in seeing how this goes too. What plans do you have so far?

 

I haven't completely thought about it since I wasn't really looking for a lower receiver. I was planning on buying an 80% and doing it myself but this was the next best thing since it's still not registered.
I have a buddy who sells guns and he can get me a complete upper kit from ATI ( Advanced Tactical) with a two stage trigger for around $350 his cost but I really want to do something a bit different with it.
Anyone have any suggestions?

 

I wish I knew more about what your looking to do, that's why I'm keeping a close eye.

 

I've got a complete lower from Olympic Arms looking for an upper myself, but I don't want another 5.56. Curious as to common options myself, nothing exotic.
Certified, got any plans for your lower?

 

I was thinking about going for a different caliber but I am also leaning heavily towards a MK 12 variant. Instead of an 18" barrel I am considering a 20" and definitely going to have a free float forearm on it.

 

I want to do an SBR for my next one. I have a PSA upper on mine right now. Geisselle trigger is super nice. I want one to set up for short range stuff and a 16-18" fr longer range.
