When the sound stops, follow the nose.

Anytime I hear a saw or a chipper running in my neighborhood I jump in the car and try and find the source!

Hi, my name is Monte and I have a firewood hoarding problem. There, it's out in the open.

I might be able to beat this affliction if I had to search for firewood by listening for saws and other processing equipment.

BUT, since I live in the middle of the woods, every time I walk out my front door I'm forced to look at dead Ash trees, toppled timber, and stacks of firewood that I can't stop collecting.
I'm not sure I can kick this horrible habit of hoarding on my own.

I need HELP. (OK, maybe not)

CSS is the only release I have for my inner demons that force me to feed their need for heat.
Bigger saws dance in my dreams at night. 4 and 6 way splitters tease my inner ego... Loaders with thumbs torment my wife's budget plans...

Even with this affliction, I feel I am one of the lucky ones since our heating bills are measured in gas cans and gallons of bar oil. A little elbow grease goes a long way.

Wow, I've talked myself right out of having a problem and I now feel as though I'm in lock step with tons of other great folks that share their thoughts and experiences about our like minded obsessions. :dex:

Sure beats moving to Florida and collecting seashells on the sea shore.
