Charlotte has been sick for the past 24 hours or so. Not sure what it is, she has a headache and fever best as I can tell. Best thing about when she gets sick is how cuddly she gets. Shes curled up laying on me right now....she doesnt fit as well at almost 6 as she did at 2 though.
Oh oh... hope that it's just one of those bugs that race thru kids... sometimes they bounce back after a 12-hour sleep...
The 10 spd was co-designed by both Ford and GM. The first year of availability in Ford's was 2017 in the 3.5 Ecoboost only. For 2018, it was standard in all except the base 3.3 v6. I haven't seen any issues with the transmission, but the v8 in 18 had new direct EFI to go along with the port FI that they've had forever. There were issues with the new 5.0 in 18. Valve chatter it's what it's called. Look it up if you are serious, then test drive. I backed out of a 2018 5.0 that I found out was lemon lawed. Barely used, looked great, then that.... Nope
Better than what's been going on at the gm plants, but they all have issues on certain things. Being as that tranny was Co developed by GM and Ford, I won't say much about that....
She came home from school yesterday with it, so we're at about 24 hours. Hopefully, she will feel better tomorrow.
I am gong on my second childhood. At least that is what I told the checkout lady at Drug Mart. Now waiting on some snow. I had been stewing over how I was going to get some rounds up a small hill. Why not load them on a sleigh and pull them up the hill. When I got home one of my grandsons was here. He is young and a big brute. Awe maybe get the rounds up the hill. Gave him a set of tongs. Now 75% of them are topside waiting on the splitter. He did work his asrse off to them up. Topped off the inside wood rack and brought a couple bucket fulls of Ash up to the house.
This year it seems like our grandkids are picking up all different kinds of bugs. Most of them have been 24 hours at most, with the exception of the flu they all caught.
The only complaints I see on carcomplaints.com are 2 for hard shifting and 7 for slippage. You might want to check out an F150 forum (here is a thread that may be helpful - I didn't really look thru it though). Although those forums usually attract people who are looking for answers to issues, it can give you a good idea of prevalent issues.
Not really a falling out, at least with the 10 spd They both expected to do their own final specs/components/ tuning from the get go. You can get the 10 sp in Camaros, mustangs, rangers, f150, f250+ for 2020, also in yukons, ct6, Silverados, transit, and a few others.
The first year or so there were technical service bulletins to fix these minor issues. The transmission isn't something I'd worry about. Considering how many millions of these that are on the road, that's a miniscule amount.
x10. I still get a lot but I see her growing into her independent self and feel those moments slipping away. That Abba song Woodwidow , how's Mom and are you home or still there?
