I THINK I'm at about 1.5 cord so far. Mix of wood and some split really small for SS. Been using up cut-offs from the shop for kindling as well.
Pretty mild winter. We're not done though, as we normally burn into at least the middle of May.

Likewise, way down in amount burnt. Normally burn 4 cords a winter, have burnt 1.25 cords and a couple pickup loads of hardwood board ends from the pallet mill so far, for total 2 cords so far.

About 2 1/2 cords of silver maple so far. Only burned oak for a couple of days. Normally at the same amount but with a larger percentage of better wood.

I'll guessetimate I burned 3 cords so far since the first of October with using no other source for heat. Was planning on 4.5. Im currently still burning 24/7, but mostly it's lesser wood with a couple splits of locust mixed in for coal support. I don't want to say I've wasted wood, but I have burned more liberal since Im ahead now. What can I say, but I love the warmth of the fire and to see the thermostat below 70* pains me.:):)

Im like Horkn and hoping for a warmer (and drier) spring than last year.

First year in our new place and 2 stoves, gone through about 2.5-3 cord. Thankful for a mild winter.

Somewhere close to 2 cord so far. I put a lot of junk wood in the stacks this winter so perhaps we've burned a bit more than we would have but it is okay. I have 4 pieces on the porch now that are super lightweight so not much heat in them. They work nice on a sunny day like we're having today as they keep coals without giving much heat.

On the good side, I see 4 days in the next 6 days that are forecast to be in the low 40's. Excellent!!!

But even if it turns cold, we have plenty of wood so no danger of running out.

We have had a fairly mild winter overall but there were a few cold snaps early on. We have also been spending more time than usual at home during the day. Have used about 2.5 cords and will probably be close to 3.5 by end of burning. I did a replenishment of about 1.5 cords a couple months ago so we still have about 10.5 on hand.

:confused:o_O Yeah... I'm burning just to burn. If the temps outside are over 50ยบ, I don't even bother lighting a fire.

Been burning during the day mostly and let the furnace run most of the night and early morning. If it's above 30 or so, it's the furnace usually.

February 15-16, 2015. A pathetic amount of wood hoarded! I was out of the house every day anyway, so wasn't burning much. IMG_20200219_35125.jpg IMG_20200219_27111.jpg IMG_20200219_17157.jpg
