Not too bad here in Northeast Pennsylvania....seems like spring is almost in the air. 33f now. I brought in the last of my 5 year old red oak last week, about a sixth of a cord. Kind of feel bad burning it now, but some of it was getting real light. I am stashing the bigger heavier pieces away in my special reserve rack for any cold snaps.
Didn't get much snow overnight. 36 out there now and windy. Temperatures are supposed to be falling this afternoon. Cold the next 2 or 3 days then a big warmup.
That's actually in Mina, Nevada about 3 hours south east of Reno, NV. There was a lobster farm there (in a town of 155 or less people) and the Nevada Department of Wildlife shut it down about 17 years ago.... Wildlife Officials Shut Down Lobster "Farm"
25° out. 69° inside in the back hall, but probably low 70's in the stove room. Burning elm, and red maple. The cold weather comes in tomorrow and Thursday. It's supposed to be highs in the teens, and lows around zero.
White pine be knocking the chill out meteorically. Doesn't look it now but it is supposed to be a sunny day. Maybe a couple of big spruce splits and that will do until later this afternoon.
It’s been warming up all night and it’s now 29 headed for 35 by lunchtime before the wind comes in and a drop to near zero by tomorrow morning. 5” of snow outside to clean up from yesterday. Below zero again Friday morning. 76 inside on coals this morning.
22 here this morning. White Pine splits with a sprinkling of Rice coal on top of last night deep bed of hardwood coals.
Thanks for the heads up! Guess I better get our there and get cleaned up before the cold and wind moves in. Sorry to hear about the yuck. We got a little rain at the end, just enough to keep me from moving the snow yesterday evening. I’d rather have the freezing rain on top of the snow than on a bare driveway.
