We get to use the cabin in early November, as well as February. The smell is about the same. A small price to pay to be there
That comment is one of the contributions we've left at the cabin over the years. The river pictures are of the Swift river, which is about a 10min walk behind the cabin. It flows west to east, from the pass to the Saco river.
Oh - and for the record, thanks to Brian and Dawn, for bringing some pastries and a splitting maul. There were a few supplied splits needing to be made smaller. In return, they were exposed to bread in a can - Brown bread. To go with some settlers beans. Think baked beans with added meats. Lots of recipes on take in whatever direction you want to take it. Settlers Beans (The BEST Baked Beans Ever!)
We are hoping to get up to the whites this weekend to do some hiking around lonesome lake. Hopefully the kids feel better by then so we can get away. I’ll be sure to take some pics.
