Eh, I've got a cousin with one of those Kubota RTV's. It's good, but super slow. I don't think they'll outlast 2-3 gas powered ones, and even if they did, as slow as they are, it would take 2-3 times longer to haul the same amount of firewood as the gas powered ones. The engines are stout on the Kubota diesel rtv, but nothing else really seems any more substantially made than other brands that cost a lot less. Unless you are putting attachments on the Kubota, using the hydraulics and such, then that's a whole different story then.
Have a 2018 Sportsman 570 Utility edition. Bought it mostly for play but it didn’t take long to figure out it could make wood gathering easier. Saw a used homemade arch for sale. Bought it and revamped it,,,still revamping Then I decided to rig the log splitter in front and use the winch to lift. May not be the perfect machine for heavy duty work but so far it’s not complaining. while it will pull this much weight on flat terrain I could t get this log up a hill The arch will handle the weight. Comes down to traction.
I've many a times loaded the Big red up to the roof with wood. Bed is rated for 1,000 lbs so it works well for big hauls. For sure a worker, only fair for trail riding though.
She’s done. Well probably make our first trial run beginning of the week. Try to get a video and post it. That’s Wayne leaning on the arch. He donated the boat trailer, was the boss on the fab ideas plus welder. I just cut stuff to fit. He also likes to go and cut firewood with me for a couple hours at a crack. Pretty good for 84.
