My 372 is throwing retainer screws to the recoil starter rope assembly. The two top screws were replaced and I made a point to tighten them whenever I was refilling fuel or tightening the chain.,

didn’t last long. Three of the four were missing with just a short use. Not feeling any vibration.
It seems that there may be threaded inserts into the plastic body. Thinking about nixing the screws and super gluing the rope housing onto the body. Sort of foolish, but I hate down time with my saws. They need to work when I am in the woods.

I own 8 Husqvarna chainsaw. In the about 10 years I’ve been averaging 5-7 cords each, I’ve lost 2 screws. Getcha some of this and never look back.

I think I used some on it last time, but will give it another shots. Ordered replacements, which are due next Saturday

If the threads aren't clean and dry Loctite doesn't hold well...I like to hit both sides with contact cleaner (or brake cleaner) and blow it dry before applying the Loctite...or, many people don't realize, but Loctite has their own cleaner and primer too...it works really well.

I will stop by my mom and pop hardware store I am sure they have it. Good point.
Now that I recall, this is the second starter recoil u ti broken. I think the culprit is that I and a lefty. I wonder if I am pulling the rope in a manner that is stressing the thing.
