Just saw a panking pole for the first time on Edwardian farm and realized that it's just what we need for shaking mulberry branches to aide our harvest. Does anyone have one or have some good pictures of one?

I have a tree trimmer with a hook. That will get the mulberries down (and everything else). Panking pole or Panking hole, both sound like something you shouldn't say or do in church.

Simple...cut down the big ole mulberry get all the berries off it.....cut split stack for 2 summers...win,win..

Yeah, but a broom stick would work for that tree. Seriously, I would get an apple picker and use that. You will need one eventually for the other trees anyway. The major advantage to an apple picker is that you dont bruise or ruin the fruit trying to get it.
We laid tarps around the base and literally shook the branches with a rope and let the ripe berries fall. It worked very well. The birds ate them and pooped all over the neighborhood on cars and houses so I gladly cut it down. We couldn't even walk under it during the summer and fall because of how bad the berries stain everything. I miss the fruit but not that blasted tree lol.
Pete-- we've always done that, but with sheets. Used to send my brother up into the trees to shake one branch at a time.
