    It's tough Pete but perhaps you are best to stay out of the trucks now. Still, I'd probably renew too.

    I'm not about to let it lapse and loose the CDL as I paid handsomely for the training. It's a good backup if ever I need it again. I still drive gravel in the summer but not over the road anymore.

    Heh. They say I need a 30 minute break after eight hours of on duty time, before I can drive again. Fact is, I get up at midnight, and then I have a 4 1/2 hour drive to my first stop, and about two hours or so in, I need a snooze. Once I get here and start working, I don't drive for more than 20 minutes between stops for the rest of the day. I still have to log off duty again at some point, so that I am able to finish my day. The foodservice biz is a whole lot different than most any other type of driving job. I drive 1200 miles a week, not 3500.
